GNAL is a bond between GACL and NALCO, the leaders in their respective fields who have committed themselves for setting up a caustic soda project in Dahei. The strategic project aims at consolidating GACL’s preeminence in Chlor-alkali industry and ensuring a steady and reliable supply of caustic soda to NALCO and other customers.
Technology and Self Sufficiency
GNAL is setting up a green field 2,66,670 TPA caustic soda plant and a 130 MW captive power plant in Dahej, Gujarat. The captive power plant is intended to cater the power requirements of the caustic soda plant.
The land required for the plant has already been acquired. The plant is expected to be operational by the year 2020. The location of the plant has the advantage of proximity to raw material suppliers and to the end users. GNAL is collaborating with consultants of international repute to set up the caustic soda plant and the captive power plant.
The project will benefit not only NALCO and GACL but also the nearby industries by continuous supply of caustic soda, chlorine and hydrogen through pipelines. GNAL will contribute to the development of the society as well by innovative CSR activities, employment generation and business opportunities.
